Celebrating more success at the Montgomeryshire Drama Festival

A cordial welcome to all things Guilsfield ADS...

Who are we?

We are a community drama group with high expectations with regard to the quality of our productions and the variety of our program. Our success lies in encouraging wide participation from all different ages, skill levels and backgrounds. We love what we do and deliver for our loyal and growing audience.

What do we do?

We produce and perform theatrical productions, currently twice a year, in a Spring and an Autumn Season. During Spring you'll find us creating One Act presentations to show locally, in our local Montgomeryshire Festival; with aspirations to progress to Wales-wide and International competitions.

See our Past Productions here for further details. Our Current Production is here. During Autumn we undertake full length productions.

As an audience member we can assure you of a great value evening of theatre. We undertake: -

  • blockbuster comedies like "Allo Allo," "Vicar of Dibley," "Blackadder" and "Calendar Girls";
  • farces like "Out of Order" by Ray Cooney, and
  • more gritty modern work like "Lucky Sods" by John Godber & "Ladies' Day" by Amanda Whittington;
  • excellent One Act Festival Plays like "Cato's Daughter" by Margaret Wood, "Gentlemen & Players" by Vic Mills, "Doubles" by Michael Frayn and "Blue Remembered Hills" by Dennis Potter.

We heartily welcome new members interested in all aspects of theatre - acting, directing, music, lights, set & staging, props, make-up, wardrobe, scriptwriting and front of house.

Where are we?

We are based in the Guilsfield Community Centre, Guilsfield, Montgomeryshire, Wales.

See our Contact page for further details.

Why do we do what we do?

We: -

  • provide amusing and challenge theatre productions for our audiences,
  • challenge our members to achieve the highest standards,
  • engage with our local community, and
  • encourage our members and associates to further themselves in dramatic arts.
